When the world gets down on Little Magic Sam, he gets down on a Les Paul. Sam Taylor is a born entertainer with a penchant for raw blues and soul music and lyrics that bely someone much older than his 33 years. With an enormous stage presence, it comes as no surprise that this multi-talented singer/songwriter has been performing internationally since the age of 7.
In February 2024, the Little Magic Sam Band was honoured with the Maple Blues Award for "New Artist or Group of the Year". The summer of 2024 saw the band performing at the Montreal Jazz Festival for the first time, as well as return performances at the Beaches International Jazz Festival.
Our special guest for the event is another great Ontario blues act called Heartless Saints - a high energy blues band playing gritty, groove-heavy, hard-driving blues/rock. From past classics to today's modern blues sounds, Heartless Saints provides a diverse, fun and entertaining show!

Happy New Year Blues Fans!
The Great Lakes Blues Society is pleased to announce our first show of 2025, The German Canadian Club, 1 Cove Road on Saturday, January 25, 2025, with Joshua Arden Miller and the Pappy Johns Band, with London's own Twin-Fin opening.
The Pappy Johns Band have been on the Canadian music scene for over 30 years and have been able to keep their sound fresh and exciting. They have been described as a “fabulously bad-ass Blues band.” As a live act, they get the crowds up, and on their feet and are one of only two Canadian bands to ever grace the stage at the illustrious Chicago Blues Festival. Juno nominated and six-time winners of the Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards, we are lucky to have them.

Twin-Fin is high energy Swing, Rockabilly, Blues and Jazz but we just call it ‘Swingabilly’. Based in London, Ontario this 5-piece blazing band performs their original songs along with repertoire by Janis Martin, Louis Prima, Brian Setzer, and Tarantino soundtracks to keep the shows jumpin’…

* Spencer Mackenzie *
2023 JUNO Nominee
- Blues Album Of The Year
2023 Independent Blues Awards Nominations
-Best New Artist CD
-Best Modern Roots Song
2019 Independent Blues Awards Nominations
-Independent Blues Rock CD
-Best New Artist
-Best Contemporary Blues Song
...and many more
With his fluid phrasing, resonant tone, and expressive performances, one could believe Spencer Mackenzie was born on Beale Street. They, however, would be wrong. The lauded JUNO-nominated blues-rock artist hails from Southern Ontario and has steadily earned accolades, and the attention of blues aficionados worldwide, since his first studio album in 2016. Leaving nothing behind when he steps to the stage, Mackenzie offers showgoers a powerhouse performance, commanding his guitar with sophistication and prowess beyond his years.
For nearly a decade, Spencer Mackenzie has been writing and recording true blues, showcasing the raw emotion and honesty the genre demands. There’s a familiarity and ease with which he approaches the music, almost as though it flows through rather than from him. In song, he connects with the storied past of blues music, lyrically navigating through his pain to find purpose and the promise of tomorrow. The energy of his work is infectious, permeating through the listener until they, too, feel the heartbeat of the blues.

The submissions are now open for the 2019-2020 Road to Memphis Competition. Entries are being taken for the Band and Solo/Duo competition.
For the last dozen years or so The Great Lakes Blues Society has, annually, sent entries to this prestigious competition in Memphis, TN, and, almost consistently, our entries have made it to the quarter final level and better. This competition can lead to many connections for the bands that represent the GLBS and is generally considered a step up in their pursuit of spreading their music to a larger business and fan base.
All submission hard copies (CD or stick) are to be received at 832 Kipps Lane, London, Ontario N5Y 4R7 by Midnight August 31, 2019.
We do need, however, to have you understand that, as this larger competition does take place in the United States, it is absolutely essential that all musicians participating have a valid passport and no restrictions on cross border travel. It has happened before that competitors, both from our society and others, have not been able to make the trip due to the laws as regard to international travel.
The local competitions to determine our representatives will take place at Eastside Bar and Grill at 750 Hamilton Road on the following dates:
Please ensure that you carefully read the local rules and the IBC Guidelines as some of the rules have changed.

Come join in as two of the six nominees from the Forest City London Music Awards, Dashboard Rattle and Twin Fin, strut their stuff!
Dashboard Rattle (Joe Fournier - Rick Taylor - Jay Riehl - Richard Miron) http://dashboardrattle.com/
This cool new thing we call Dashboard Rattle is everything roots. A smash-tastic hybrid of original Blues, Swamp, Garage, Rock ‘n Roll, Americana, Soul, Alt-Country, Singer-Songwriter jams. But above all else, a kicking mutha-for-ya guitar BAND! Songs and instruments in an all-for-one collaboration. It’s the heart, soul and experience of four eccentrically talented artists, colliding into a sonic stew. Let’s just call it rock ‘n roll. Dashboard Rattle celebrated their first album release at London Music Club on February 2, 2019. https://youtu.be/rtxI80Fa8ks
Twin Fin - Dana MacCabe, Cole G Benjamin, Paul Wickerson, Eric Roelofsen, Brad Ondrovcik) http://www.twinfinband.com/

A serious student of “fat tone” harmonica, Mark “Bird” Stafford subscribes to the teachings of the masters: Sonny Boy Williamson, Little Walter Jacobs, Big Walter Horton, Junior Wells and James Cotton, imbuing what he’s learned with a healthy dose of his own creativity. From the frenzy he can generate from a crowd and on a dance floor to the smooth, mercurial side of his musical personality, Mark pours it on with a highly-polished singing voice and the comparably subtle, expressive tones of his accomplished harpmanship. Those who have been to Bird’s church are the first to testify but never the last.
He’s an active participant in the Toronto Blues Society’s “Blues In The Schools” program and finds time to immerse himself in the International Milk Festival’s musical events. A tireless performer, chances are good you’ll catch him sitting in with a variety of better bands or featured acts wherever he and his harp may travel. If the blues come to your town, expect a Bird sighting. Because Mark, like the song says, is happiest when he’s working overtime.
The energy Mark applies to his favourite musical styles – from Chicago blues to swing, R&B, jump, funk and most things in-between – is entirely his own and born of his love of enthusiastic crowds. From suave, soulful and sophisticated, to hard-rockin’, hard-boppin’ and just plain hard-not-to-love, Mark is – and remains – the word. It’s taken the better part of a most colourful lifetime to refine his craft into its patented state of consistently cool, crowd-pleasing entertainment. He’s a walking, talking example of one of the best lessons the road has ever taught — give the people what they want. All you need do is come on by and get some.

On Sunday, 28 October 2018 at Eastside Bar and Grill, the GLBS is proud to give you Danielle Nicole.
If you missed seeing Danielle Nicole in Kincardine this past July, here is a chance to see what all the Buzz was about.
Her album “Cry No More” won Contemporary Blues Album this year!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrOkW08km5Q
Founding member, lead singer, and bass player of Kansas City blues-rock band Trampled Under Foot, Danielle Nicole stepped out on her own in 2015 with her debut album “Wolf Den.” In 2018, Nicole returns with a follow-up release via Concord Records.
"I grew up playing the blues, and the blues is still a big part of what I do. But now I'm reaching out more and trying different things. It still sounds like me, but I'm stretching out a lot more than I have previously."
Nicole's distinctive, inventive bass work—which resulted in her becoming the first woman to win the Blues Foundation's 2014 Blues Music Award for Best Instrumentalist, Bass—is the product of years of intensive roadwork. Although she had no experience with the instrument when she became Trampled Under Foot's bassist, now she can't imagine life without it.
Rounding out her band are longtime Danielle Nicole Band guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Brandon Miller, and her older brother Kris Schenebelen [Trampled Under Foot] on drums.
"I think that it's a good time for the kind of thing I'm doing," she states. "From my years of playing blues festivals, I've seen that younger and younger audiences are getting into the blues. I think that people want to hear authentic music again."
Tickets are $20 Advanced and $25 at the door.
Doors will open @ 1pm, with the show starting at 2pm.

Rowbusts core values are: Integrity, Respect and Dedication to Excellence. These values are incorporated into every team decision we make and help to ensure a positive, meaningful experience for all members.
Rowbust competes in Regional, National and International dragon boat racing competitions. They are EIGHT TIME (2010 – 2017) National Champions, as well as TWO TIME Club Crew World Champions (CCWC) in the BCS division.
Prior to 2010 there was not a BCS division at the Canadian National level and it was Rowbust who were pioneers in getting the division recognized by Dagon Boat Canada. Gaining National recognition meant Rowbust were eligible to compete at the CCWC who, in 2014, opened its doors to the BCS division for the first time!
In 2014, Rowbust travelled to Ravenna, Italy for the CCWC and paddled their way to win GOLD in three race distances of 200m, 500m and 2000m! Returning to CCWC in Adelaide, Australia in 2016 they successfully defended their title to become two-time Club Crew WORLD Champions.
Now Rowbust has the opportunity to defend their title for a third time in Szeged, Hungary for the 2018 International Dragon Boat Federation CCWC in July. They will race against other BCS teams from Canada, Hungary, Australia, France, Italy and the USA, among other nations.
July 2018 also marks the 5th International Breast Cancer Paddler’s Commission Dragon Boat Festival in Florence, Italy. This event, held every four years, is specifically for BCS teams from around the world to gather, and race, in the ultimate celebration of Survivorship & Sisterhood!
Rowbust is nothing if not dedicated to their sport, and therefore, are committed to a hectic training schedule to prepare for these competitions.

Does this belong to you????
This year’s GLBS Road to Memphis winner in the band category, The Focklers (http://thefocklers.com/) have been invited to their first Firehall Reunion, and the band is stoked and eager to make their mark. Two brothers, a cousin and a friend make up this dynamic, unconventional quartet and whether it’s DNA, Karma or just the audacity of youth, these guys can kick it.
When you see these fine artists at the Firehall Reunion, they will be walking just a little taller, having just competed at the International Blues Competition in Memphis. These gents should be full of pride as they made it to the semi-finals. They represented the Blues Society well, and we are very proud of their accomplishment. Well done!
The Firehall Reunion is a celebration of the talent, venues and the innkeepers, publicans, managers and promoters who together have created a Blues spawning ground in London. Don’t miss this year’s celebration of the new and the more seasoned, and the stalwarts that contribute to and make the Firehall Reunion THE Blues gathering of the year.
Blues lovers in London know and respect Tim Woodcock (https://youtu.be/Dlo1_f1DHjw) and Cheryl Lescom(https://www.cheryllescom.com/) for their talent and longevity and the joy and love they convey each time they are on stage doing what they do best, singing and playing the Blues. Cheryl is the Queen of the Firehall, and Tim is London’s Statesman of the Blues and individually and together they have been singing and playing, sharing the Blues for well over 30 years. In 2016, Tim was recognized with the Jack Richardson Award for Best Bluesman and in 2015, Cheryl was nominated for a Maple Blues Award - Best Female Singer and she released her latest CD - 1953 with the Tucson Choir Boys AND she re-released her highly successful 2007 CD - High Heel Blues.
Brian Mortimer has booked the PAUL DESLAURIERS BAND (https://www.pauldeslauriers.ca/) for the 27th Firehall Reunion before they were nominated for Maple Blues Awards and swept the evening winning FOUR MBA’s including Entertainer of the Year, Electric Act of the Year, Drummer of the Year (Sam Harrisson) and Bassist of the Year (Greg Morency). Last February they came in second at the IBC’s in Memphis an absolute magical accomplishment If you don’t have your tickets, ask yourself, ‘What am I waiting for’? Congratulations to the Paul Deslauriers Band.
PAUL LANGILLE (https://youtu.be/Rkqf0Rs14aI), 2008 Jack Richardson Award winner Best Contemporary Singer/songwriter, and 2016 co-winner single/duo GLBS Road to Memphis competition, hails from Hamilton, has three stellar CD’s to his credit, the latest being Pine and Locke. In 2008, Paul won the Jack Richardson Award for best contemporary singer/songwriter. Paul was a fixture at the Firehall during its hay day, and in the fall of 2016, participated in the Great Lakes Blues Society sponsored Road to Memphis competition where he and his partner Tom Lockwood, won the single/duo competition and will be representing the Blues Society in Memphis at the end of January. Paul has a deep baritone voice likened to David Clayton Thomas or Bob Segar. He is a masterful guitar player, his wrist literally a blur. Paul’s voice, guitar and professional rapport with his audience is special.
CHUCKEE ZEHR, (https://youtu.be/HuokMOfNEH8) 2 time winner of the GLBS – Road to Memphis Competition in the Single/Duo category. She made it to the Semi’s at the 2014 IBC’s in Memphis as a single and competed at the IBC’s again in 2015 with her friend Gail Selkirk in the Duo category. Chuckee is the lead singer and keyboardist with Chuckee and the Crawdaddies, as well as performing solo and as an accompanist at many of the major festivals all over during the past several years. She is a classically-trained pianist, with a wonderful, passionate and compelling voice.
THE HOGTOWN ALLSTARS (http://www.garykendall.com/Bluestime/THAS.htm) The Super Group comprised of 5 members of Downchild and one from Fathead: Chuck Jackson (vocals & harp), Gary Kendall (bass), Mike Fitzpatrick (drums), Michael Fonfara (Piano/Organ), Teddy Leonard (guitar), and Pat Carey (sax). These gents will be playing as a band, as well as backing up various artists.
Chuck Jackson is first and foremost an incredible entertainer. Whether with Downchild or the Hogtown All Stars or as a guest with many other bands, when Jackson takes the stage... he owns it! He is a Maple Blues Award winner - Male Vocalist of the Year and a Toronto Blues Society ‘Blues with a Feeling’ award recipient for his achievements during a long and distinguished career.
Gary Kendall is an elite Canadian bassist who has won the Maple Blues Award for best Bass player so many times they are thinking of renaming the trophy. Whether playing with Downchild, The Hogtown Allstars or The Gary Kendall Band, Gary is happiest playing, recording and livin’ the dream!
Mike Fitzpatrick has also won an MBA, for drummer of the year. He’s played with Big Joe Turner, Sonny Rhodes, Jack deKeyzer, and Morgan Davis and David Vest before and since Downchild.
Michael Fonfara has been touted as one of the busiest keyboard players in North America. He began his career in the 60s, playing with Mike Bloomfield in Electric Flag and he was also in the super group, Rhinoceros. He’s played with Lou Reed, Solomon Burke and has been a member of Downchild since 1992. He’s been nominated 9 times for the Maple Blues Award for Keyboard Player of The Year and won 4 times.
Teddy Leonard has won a Maple Blues Award for Guitarist of The Year. He is a long-time member of the Juno and Maple Blues Award winning band Fathead. He’s also a member of the Village Blues Band and has recorded with David Vest. Teddy is known for his own original blues sound, and in 2010 he was presented with London’s “Jimmy Lewis Award”, in recognition of his long career as a blues musician.
Sax player Pat Carey has a music degree from the University of Manitoba and joined Downchild in 1985. He has composed horn arrangements for Jack deKeyzer, Chuck Jackson and the All-Stars, Big Daddy G and Sunny Fournier, as well as recorded with Rita Chiarelli, Fathead, Danny Brooks, Kenny Blues Boss Wayne to name just a few. Pat has won 5 MBAs for Horn Player of the Year.
There will be a two-stage format this year. The Big Stage in the London Music Hall, and the smaller stage in Rumrunners, which will be known as the Great Lakes Blues Society stage. This stage will be run by Dave Harland and Paul Breau, both Board members of the GLBS. Folks really like this room as it is more like the original Firehall with brick walls and great sound.
VIP TABLES
Many of you are Firehall reunion veterans, and already know the importance of having a VIP table. This year there will be a total of 36 tables for sale and take NOTE 3/4 of them are spoken for, so don’t waste any time if you are interested. The tables hold 10 blues fans and can be reserved and are still only $400. Chris Mortimer is looking after this opportunity - he can be reached at 519-870-0956 or at theoneandonlycaptain@hotmail.com. Please don’t hesitate to contact him TODAY and avoid disappointment. This is gonna be one heck of a show People!!!
First you have MonkeyJunk (http://monkeyjunkband.com) the Ottawa-based band who came along just when music fans needed them the most. With Steve Marriner (Vocals/Harp/Guitar), Tony D (Guitar) and Matt Sobb (Drums/Shaker), they brought an accessible and refreshing blend of swamp-rock roots and blues to the table and haven’t looked back. In the relatively short time they’ve been performing and recording together, the members of MonkeyJunk have won a collective 20 Maple Blues Awards, two Canadian Independent Music Awards, a Blues Music Award (USA), and have been nominated twice for a JUNO Award, taking home the coveted hardware in 2012.
MonkeyJunk performs the title track single from their Debut Album "Tiger In Your Tank." Recorded in St. John's, Newfoundland in September 2008 for TV show "Out Of The Fog." https://youtu.be/MQG2-JnNd8A
Next up, the Paul DesLauriers Band (www.pauldeslauriersband.com) who are made up of virtuoso guitarist and singer Paul DesLauriers and masterful rhythm section Greg Morency on bass and Sam Harrisson on drums. On January 30th 2016 the band took 2nd place at the 32nd International Blues Challenge, the world’s largest gathering of blues acts, organized by The Blues Foundation. Held in Memphis Tennessee, they rose to the top to take the runner-up title in the band category in a world-wide competition that saw 119 bands competing for a spot on the podium. The current self-titled electric album from these three pillars of the Quebec Blues scene has captured the subtlety and intensity, the unique interplay and excitement they are so well known for. Released to unanimously excellent reviews in March 2014, the album reached the #1 spot on the iTunes Canada Blues Chart within a month! They are currently touring Canada and the USA in support of the album.
Here they rip through Going Down Slow, She Should Be Mine, All I Want, and Love In Vain from their self-titled CD - https://youtu.be/YNiyEWaqSPw
If you haven't seen Cecile Doo-Kingue yet (http://www.cdkmusik.com), this is your time!! An exceptional stage presence, guitarist / singer-songwriter Cécile Doo-Kingué blends blues, afro-roots and soul to create a unique sound. Born and raised in New York City, first generation from Cameroon, she has lived in the USA, France, and is now an adopted Montrealer.
Cécile Doo-Kingué isn’t just another token “chick” guitarist; considered one of Canada’s most electrifying and versatile guitarists her talents are measured not by gender lines, but by the fact that she is quickly earning a stellar reputation and a place alongside Canada’s current roster of great guitarists. Powerful and raw, Cécile Doo-Kingué’s guitar prowess, lyrics, and sound make for enthralling and intimate communion. From the "Anybody Listening" - Part 1 Monologues - https://youtu.be/XNRH4Q_TIl0

David Harland
Hello my name is Dave Harland and I am a founding member of the Great Lakes Blues Society.
For the last five years I have served on the Board of Directors and I currently am the sitting Chairman of the Board. I also serve as the Chairman of the IBC Committee, and have served the Merchandise, Booking and Sponsorship Committees.
The Great lakes Blues Society is undergoing a considerable amount of change, and I would appreciate your votes to allow me to continue on the Board and be part of the future.
Thanks for your Consideration
Pegg Saunders
I was introduced to the then Canada South Blues Society, joined as a member for the founding year of the Great Lakes Blues Society, and actively become involved as a volunteer. In 2009, I was elected to the Executive and maintained a seat until 2011 as secretary and part of the BITS committee.
I have become involved with Karma Production, working the door at Mortz’ events, as well as the Lot Parties that the London Music Hall puts on. You will also see me at the door of the London Music Club helping out Pete and Jan.
I came back to the Board for the 2014-2015 term serving as Secretary / Web / Media. Many changes have taken place this past year, and I would like to continue in an active role for the 2015-2016 term to see where the Great Lakes Blues Society will go!
Earle Taylor
Having served on the executive for the past many years and last year as Treasurer, I would like to contribute on that level for another year to help ensure the stability of the Society for the future.
My background includes: 10 years as entertainment programmer for McGill University; operating partner of Kiplings Nightclub which ran for 6 years; and a short stint as club manager of Yuk Yuks London. Currently I am serving as executive director of the Canadian Organization of Campus Activities which, amongst other goals, promotes live entertainment of all kinds on Canadian college and university campuses.
Bonnie Tucker
I have served on the GLBS Board of Directors for the past year as the Membership Chair, in addition have completed many other needed tasks and assignments this year that benefit this organization. I would like to continue my role and watch this society grow and develop. I have been a member of the Great Lakes Blues Society since 2008, but a blues music fan for many years.
Please consider me to be a part of your Board of Directors again this upcoming year.
Paul Breau
I am a founding member of the Great Lakes Blues Society, and previously a member and executive of the former London chapter of the Canada South Blues Society since 2005. In my capacity as Production Director, I over saw the logistics of making our shows happen. During my last term as board member and Vice Chair, I have attempted to help steer the GLBS as we have gone through our major transition of new executive members and a new focus on what we are about and want to achieve for YOU the membership. In April of this month we were recognized by the Jack Richardson Music Awards for our contribution towards promoting live music and artists. We are the first organization to have this honor bestowed upon them as it is normally awarded to an individual. I am running again in the hopes that moving forward, we as a blues society can further achieve our mandate of education, promotion of local talent and keeping the blues alive.
Marc Shickluna
I have lived in London for the past 30 years after living in the Niagara area, Toronto, Edmonton, Yellowknife and Windsor. I’ve been involved with the Great Lakes Blues Society for the past few years on the Road To Memphis committee.
I was involved with high-tech (telecommunications and IT) for over 30 years as a technician, project manager and management. I am currently semi-retired and focus my time on home improvements and music.
Terrance Dash
Terrance migrated to the greater London area in 2010, becoming involved in various music circles. A campfire guitarist, grew up on R&B, and blues from the early '60s. Terrance still feels privileged to jam with some of south western Ontario, and London's incredibly talented amateur and professional musicians. He picked up a bass guitar at the London Music Club during a jam and found a new way to enjoy the blues. He served on the GLBS board 2014, and found it a very rewarding opportunity to connect with and befriend some of the best blues performers.
Attention Musicians!
The Great Lakes Blues Society is accepting proposals from local musicians who would like to participate in our Blues in The Schools program. Each year we proudly present this program to schools in London, and the surrounding areas to educate students about Blues music through a variety of Blues artists, with the goal of keeping the Blues alive for future generations. Some of the artists we have had perform in the past include greats such as Billy Branch, Reverend Robert Jones, Terrence Simien, Fruteland Jackson, Guy Davis, and Mac Arnold, just to name a few.
This is a chance for you to help pass the Blues on to younger generations, reach a whole new audience, and get paid for it as well! To be considered for this unique and rewarding opportunity, please submit your proposal using the following criteria as a basis for your presentation:
Must be:
historical regarding Blues music origins;
educational on both historical and musical levels;
entertaining to the 10 to 14-year-old age group; and

He has recorded with an incredible list of other blues legends from Muddy Waters to James Cotton. The cd Harp Attack! featuring Cotton, Carey Bell, Junior Wells and Billy is recognized as a blues harp classic. Billy started the Sons Of Blues over 30 years ago and the band was one of the featured artists at the main stage at the Chicago Blues Festival in 2007. Although personnel has changed over the years the band is still a Chicago favourite and Billy Branch a Chicago mainstay. In addition to all of this Billy is a blues educator, one of the major forces in the Blues In The Schools programs in the USA.Blues producer Chicago Beau has written: “ Billy Branch has become a beacon and a model for his times;as an artist and social / cultural activist …. Billy Branch is a bluesman; Billy Branch is the Blues.” Carl Weathersby Blues Band Born in Jackson Mississippi, Carl Weathersby emigrated to the Chicago area when he was a young man and has been playing the blues ever since. The Great Lakes Blues Society, in affiliation with Karma Productions is excited to announce an incredible blues show for the month of December. The December event for the Blues Society has always been one of our biggest shows of the year, and December 8, 2007, will be no exception. Eddy “The Chief” Clearwater is a versatile, flamboyant blues rocker from Birmingham, Alabama, by way of Chicago. For more than 50 years he has been performing, including, at a very early age, a stint with The Five Blind Boys of Alabama. By his mid-teens, however, he had moved from gospel to the blues, and to the city on Lake Michigan. Since then, through various bands and affiliations, Eddy has established himself as one of the very best in the game, both on record and on stage. He is a perennial nominee for the W.C. Handy Awards, and has won once for one of his earlier albums. He is cited by many as one of the most entertaining of all entertainers, in any musical field, and no longer has to be considered a blues artist working his way towards a higher recognition. He’s there! As a bluesman, Lucky Peterson has to be considered a fusion artist. He’s been a star since the age of three, when he played his first professional gig, and in the years that followed has played with, and been praised by, a who’s who of the blues. While still a child, Willie Dixon took Lucky under his wing, and within months the young prodigy had appeared on The Tonight Show, as well as Ed Sullivan. He split his teen years between playing the blues, and studying formal music on the French Horn. Thankfully, for our sake, the blues won out and everyone is more than excited that Lucky will be returning to London for the first time in many years on December 8th. Also appearing on their first “big show” gig for the blues society are The Soul Sistaz. Shari and Natasha Meister have been knocking the sox off of blues fans in London for a couple of years now as they’ve developed through a variety of identities including The Meister Sisters, and The Johnny Girls. They are now ready to unleash the purest form of their act and we all anticipate a massive reaction to these stars of the future. This show will be held at the Music Hall, 185 Queens Avenue, with doors opening at 7 p.m. Tickets for this premium event are priced at 30 dollars, or 20 dollars for members of The Great Lakes Blues Society, and are available at Tequilla Rose’s/The Music Hall, The Village Idiot and Westside Variety. Reserved tables are also available. If you wish to reserve a table, contact Brian Mortimer at 519-963-7247 or at brian@greatlakesbluessociety.com . For more information on these shows, contact Greg Simpson at 519-432-5317 or at gregsimpson2001@rogers.com
Have we got a treat for you!!!!
